Games That Teach

is Jedi-Style sensory awareness games that get kids out of their academic heads and into full body challenges - plenty of sneaking, listening, tracking, disappearing, hiding, sniffing, running, and climbing.

One of our oldest PD Sessions - this is a daylong series of our freshest games - some straight from the Coyote’s Guide, others GOS originals or from other outdoor schools.  Games That Teach are low-tech, and infused with naturalist knowledge.  They feature co-operative elements, and opportunties to push edges, and yet simple and thrilling.  Lots of fresh ideas to bring back to the family, school, or camp.

Note that most of our PD sessions also make time for timelessness.  Play Games all day, or take breaks as needed: do projects by the fire, make shelters, or watch clouds roll by with some new buds.

So, ask your kids if they’ve played Hawk & Mouse, Fire-keeper, Watchtower, Hunger Games, Blind Old Owl, Nutty Squirrels, Wolf Bite, Sardines, Heron Steals Fish,  Tree Charge, Blind Fold Drum Stalk, or Jedi Training Centre (the “JTC”).
