Did you know that Howitt Park was home to a popular swimming pond in the 1930's? Fifteen thousand years before that, it lay beneath a mile of glacial ice. These – and many more – stories can still be read in the landscape today.
Join local naturalists and GOS Instructors Ciana Hamilton and byron murray as, together, we explore this rich ecological history, and play some fun, all-ages nature games.
This is a family-friendly event. We'll be going on a little walk through the ravines, and stopping along the way to explore and play some classic all-ages nature games. Afterwards, we'll wrap up with some hot drinks (on us!) and some good conversation.
Ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Sat. Oct. 23 | 2pm-3:30 | Meet in the parking lot | Family-friendly
*There is no RSVP or registration required for this event. Just show up.*
