The Village Hearth Initiative & The Guelph Outdoor School express our solidarity with Wet’suwet’en land defenders in Northern British Columbia. We honour the commitment of the Wet’suwet’en to protect pristine wilderness, and their right to choose what happens in their traditional, unceded territory.

We are indebted to the Wet’suwet’en, and their allies, for doing the necessary work of our time. On top of the many social, practical, emotional costs being incurred by the land defenders, their efforts bring significant financial, material and legal costs.

Towards those costs, the upcoming GOS Fundraiser -  For The Love of the Land - will donate 100% of proceeds to the Unist'ot'en Legal Fund.  All GOS staff at event are volunteering their time.
