Be creative, be inspired, be one with the wood(s)! This immersive wood carving workshop is designed to give beginners and intermediate carvers alike instruction and support to create a project of your choice: a hiking stick, chopsticks, or incense burner. We'll gather around a fire, share tea, and learn together in good company whilst being led by three passionate, accomplished carvers.
What to expect:
An introduction to different carving tools and an axe demonstration
Instruction in using a knife and hook knife
Hands-on support in completing your project
Learn techniques that will prevent fatigue and damage to your body
Learn how to work with a variety of local wood in a sustainable and ethical way

Creative Carvers is led by Matt Hamilton, David Wilson and Annie Sanassian, three accomplished carvers who have been inspired by people, nature, trees and wood to be the carvers they are today. They believe that carving is a hands-on experience that is meaningful for the mind, body and soul. They're excited to collaborate on this one-of-a kind workshop filled with a wealth of diverse information and immersive learning. They can't wait to dive into all things carving with you!
